Breath expert Tess Graham shares some life changing and fascinating information about how to use your breath for optimal health.  We discuss how most people are breathing poorly and how this is affecting their energy, sleep and also their yoga practice. 

Tess Graham is a physiotherapist who established Australia's first dedicated breathing clinic 27 years ago.  She is the director of Breatheability International is accredited with the Buteyko Breathing Method and is the author of two books - Relief from Snoring and Sleep Apnoea and Relief from Anxiety and Panic.  She has helped over 6000 people to make simple changes to their everyday breathing to get immediate results from asthma, snoring, sleep apnoea, anxiety and panic.

In this episode we discuss breathing in yoga, pranayama techniques, the difference between slow and deep breathing, Wim Hof breathing and also useful cues for yoga teachers to use when instructing the breath in their yoga classes.

He has lived in many different worlds from a previous life in Criminal Law and then working as a Marketing Manager in London before having a sudden shift in priorities. For the past 20 years Michael has been a meditation and yoga teacher and trainer. He has run 3 busy yoga studios, written and taught over 10000 hours of vocational training in yoga and meditation as well as facilitated over 65 retreats in Australia and internationally. He has turned a deep passion to help people into a million dollar business and now supports others to do the same. Alongside this work, Michael runs a Hypnotherapy and Coaching business where he helps people move through anxieties and traumas and towards greater success in life. He is a published author, has appeared in numerous magazines and runs his own Podcast called Being Yoga.
