Being Yoga Podcast - Episode 18
The Art of Vinyasa Yoga - On and Off the Mat
Michael Daly and Vanessa Rudge
In this episode, Michael Daly and Vanessa Rudge, the two founding teachers of Being Yoga sit down to chat about the principles of Vinyasa Yoga both on and off the mat, which they say not only helped them live a better life but also probably saved their relationship!
The beauty of yoga is that what we do on the mat actually helps us live a better life off the mat. Vinyasa yoga is the art of flowing, not only with your breath but with all the cycles of your life. This is the 'real' teaching of what has become the most popular form of yoga in the world.
Moving with the breath helps us focus and feel that sense of ease and openness in mind and body. Learning to transition into and out of yoga poses seamlessly helps us gracefully navigate the changing cycles of life. Learning to buckle up and face the downturns and challenging times in a yoga class helps us do the same in relationships, with health and career.
